We’re delighted to announce our gold win in the ‘Most Effective One-Off Campaign’ category at the Corporate Engagement Awards for our work with Internet Matters.

The campaign titled Sticks and Stones was designed to raise awareness around how expansion in the use of smartphone, tablet and social media technologies have transformed how children live their lives. According to Internet Matters research, cyberbullying is the number one issue children face online, and is an issue that parents are concerned about, yet is something that can be challenging for them to respond to.

The 30 second campaign film was designed to put parents in the shoes of a child who is being cyberbullied. The message- ‘Bullying has changed. Your advice should too’ emphasises that the types of bullying children are confronted with now can be very different to bullying that parents themselves may have been aware of when they were growing up.

The results speak for themselves, with the campaign video generating over 1.8 million views, 365,000 people engaged with the online resources and more than 60% of visitors said they would talk to their children after looking at the site.
